“Gadgets helps the solo, not the soul.” - Amit Kalantri

What’s most striking about us as humans is that we are fundamentally unpredictable beings. To be human is to be weak, to be vulnerable, to be emotional, to be messy, to be visceral. Despite being more complex than we ourselves can even comprehend, we strive to plaster over our natural weaknesses with artificial technology in some endless pursuit
of ‘perfection’.

The global pandemic has reminded us of how fragile we are and how quickly our lives can completely change. The silver lining of the struggle may be that we finally notice some of the things we took for granted before life came to a screeching halt.

After being forced to spend time apart, we have come to rely more than ever before on digital technology to replace our everyday social interactions.

In RGB, I shine light on a future where society’s obsessive reliance on technology, and in a world where human interaction strictly takes place in the digital realm, could overshadow our physical selves.

The role technology has played in the advancement of our society and human race is undeniable, but I’m fearful that a future where intimacy relies on technology, in replace of the physical, could lead us to a disconnection from our human essence.
